Purchasing information/Terms and Conditions

The ordering process

You can order online or, if you have no email address, by mail to 25a North St, Charminster, Dorchester, Dorset, DT2 9QZ. If you order by mail please include the collection name and item code as well as full contact details which must include your address and phone number.

At present payment is by cheque ( card payments will be added shortly). If you have any queries please contact me on 01305 266495. As soon as I ring to confirm availablility of the item/s in which you are interested please send your cheque to me and the jewellery will be despatched. I will reserve items for one week from the day your order arrives.

All jewellery will be temporarily removed from the website when your order is received and permanently removed once payment has been made. However there will inevitably be some time lag and I will get in contact with you if the item you wish to purchase has already been sold. My glass pieces are individually made so every item is different but I may be able to offer you an alternative. Items will be despatched within 7 days of receipt of cheque. My aim is to keep you informed at all times.

Just click on the navigation links or photographs to see all the items currently available. These items are currently only available online.

Purchasing a product online

Once you have chosen an item, just fill in the simple form alongside it on the right hand side of the product page. This will already contain all the product information needed so you just need to fill in your contact details before hitting the "order item" button.

This will take you to a confirmation page which confirms the purchase and contact information. This information is contained in an email which is sent automatically to me and copied to the email address which you have provided.

As soon as I receive the email I ring you to confirm availability. I then reserve the item for you for one week pending arrival of your cheque for the full amount plus postage.

Once your cheque has cleared I will confirm your order and then inform you of despatch.

Postage and Packing

I currently charge a rate of £4 for the first item, £3.50 for the second and £2.50 per item from then on for standard delivery (3-5 day) to all areas within mainland UK. This postage charge is waived if the total order value exceeds £100. Orders are usually despatched within 24 hours of cheques clearing.

Descriptions

Although every effort is made to portray the items as accurately as possible, please allow for differences in colour particularly in the case of of dichroic items. The whole spectrum of colours can be seen in some dichroic pendants depending on viewing angle and only a single angle can be shown in photographs.

Returns Policy

If the item does not fulfil your expectation please return it to me within 14 days in the original packaging with the receipt and I will replace the item or refund you in full. Please return goods together with the receipt to Karen Francis at 25a North St, Charminster, Nr DORCHESTER, Dorset DT2 9QZ and please keep a proof of postage.

Security, Privacy

The information I collect (your contact details) is only used by me lawfully within the Data Protection Act 1998 to contact you myself. If you do not wish to receive any further contact from me after a purchase please email me and I will honour your wishes. Your contact details will not be passed on to any third party.

Karen Francis makes fused glass, sometimes called warm glass because it is produced at lower temperatures than used in glass blowing - pendants, earrings, rings, necklaces, bracelets, sets and cuff links in a village in Dorset. She travels to Wiltshire, Hampshire, Somerset, Devon to show her work at selected venues - throughout the South West.
